Irish
dance is not an activity for everyone. It requires committment, focus
and dedication to develop the fitness, finesse and musicality that make
this form of dance so compelling and enjoyable to watch. For that
reason, we insist on a minimum attendance of two classes per week
after a child or young person has experienced dancing with us for three
months. The exception to this rule is very young children, aged
five and under.
Classes are based at Townley Grammar School, Bexleyheath, a centre of excellence for the Arts.
Classes vary in length, depending on a child's age and skill level. In general, class length is as follows:
Beginners - 60 minutes; Primary - 75 minutes; Advanced (Intermediate/Open) - 120 minutes.
Detailed below are class start times for new beginner dancers.
Tuesday: 6.30pm - Gymnasium (Light Shoe)
Thursday: 5.45pm (Light Shoe) & 6.30pm - Dance Studio 2 (Hard Shoe)
Saturday: 11am - Gymnasium (Light Shoe) & Dance Studio 2 (hard Shoe)
Our location
